Ten hectares of gardens began being planted in 1866 with over 160 shrubs species, olive trees, vines and orange trees, there have been several gardens that have been changed and developped over the centuries. It is one of the most varied parks on the Cote D'Azur. Fountains and ponds, stairways, grottos and lawns, parterres and statutues, this is a beautiful example of Mediterranean French Gardens.

Madame Bonaparte, Empress Joesephine, brought many flowers from her homeland in the Caribbean, Martinique. She distributed; Hisbiscus, Mimosa, Camellia, Geranium, and Magnolia all throughout Europe.
